ATT - Throw-in
A throw-in is like any other pass during the game, and as such, make the best decision possible when putting the ball back into play from a throw-in.
If in doubt, throw the ball forward down the sideline to a teammate.
ATT - Throw-in #1
- Two players (#7 and #9) start alongside one another on the line of the 18-yard box, with a supporting player (#8) drawing another defender away.
- On the signal, the #7 and #9 switch roles,
- With the #9 setting a screen to prevent the marker of #7 from tracking the run.
- The ball is then thrown towards the goal line, for the #7 to cross the ball into the players already in the box to finish on goal.
ATT - Throw-in #2
- Players are set-up in similar starting positions to the previous routine with #7 and #9 starting alongside one another on the line of the 18-yard box, and a supporting player (#8) drawing another defender away.
- Again, on the signal, the #7 and #9 switch roles
- With the #9 setting a screen to prevent the marker of #7 from tracking the run.
- This time the ball is thrown towards the corner of the penalty box, for
- The #7 to cross the ball into the players in the box to finish on goal.
ATT - Throw-in #3
- Players are set-up in the similar way they were for the previous routine, but this time another player is brought across to position themselves behind them inside the penalty box (#10).
- This time, on the signal, the #7 and #9 spin off on their outside shoulders and the ball is thrown towards the #10, who then combines with,
- The #7 to cross the ball into the players in the box to finish on goal.
ATT - Throw-in #4
- Again, player are set-up in the similar way they were for the first routines, but this time the timing of the movements are different.
- On the signal, the #7 and #9 move diagonally in different directions,
- With the #9 checking back for a second movement and setting a screen for #7.
- Again, the screen enables #7 to get to the goal line without an opponent and cross the ball into the
ATT - Throw-in #5
- This hybrid set-up involves three players, who are set-up in staggered starting spots with #10 at the edge of the box,
- #9 closer to the edge of the 6-yard box, and
- #7 in the traditional starting spot.
- On the signal, the #10 moves towards the ball and
- The #9 and #7 switch positions, with the #9 setting a screen in the process.
- Again, the screen enables #7 to get to the goal line without an opponent and cross the ball into the players in the box to finish on goal.
ATT - Throw-in #6
- Payers are set-up in the similar way they were for the first routines, but the #7 and #9 are a little closer.
- This time, on the signal, the #7 and #9 spin off on their outside shoulders, the ball is thrown towards the #9, and
- The thrower (#2) continues their run into the space.
- The #9 then combines with the oncoming #2, who then crosses the ball towards the players in the box to finish on goal.
